TVRI

Televisi Republik Indonesia (abbreviated as TVRI) is the first best television station in Indonesia that is free for you to enjoy, TVRI aired on August 24, 1962. TVRI is a Public Broadcasting Institution with Radio Republik Indonesia. The first broadcast was in black-and-white that aired the 17th Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia from istana negara, Jakarta. The first major tvri coverage was the Asian Games held in Jakarta, in 1962. As the only television station at the time, TVRI monopolized television broadcasting in Indonesia until 1989, when it established rcti's first private television in Jakarta and SCTV in 1990 in Surabaya.

RCTI

RCTI (abbreviated as Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia) is the first indonesian private television station and is the best and free television station in Indonesia incorporated in MNC Group. Originally established as a joint venture with ownership at the time was Bimantara Citra (69.82%) and The Main Wirabhakti Eagle (30.18%). The first RCTI aired on November 13, 1988 and was inaugurated on August 24, 1989 and at that time, RCTI broadcasts could only be captured by customers who owned decoders and paid dues monthly. RCTI removed the decoder at the end of 1989.
The government allowed RCTI to broadcast freely nationwide since 1990 but only materialized in late 1991 after creating RCTI Bandung on May 1, 1991. Since October 2003, RCTI has been owned by Media Nusantara Citra, a group of media companies that also owns GTV and MNCTV. In 2004, RCTI was among the larger television stations in Indonesia. GTV

GTV (short for Global Televisi, formerly Global TV) is one of the best private television stations nationwide in Indonesia and is free for all people. Starting from a local television station in Jakarta, GTV later expanded the broadcast to 5 other major cities.
Initially, GTV only aired shows from MTV Indonesia with a duration of 24 hours. However, since January 15, 2005, GTV began airing its own shows by dividing mtv Indonesia's airtime into 12 hours.
GTV owns the broadcast rights to the world's most prestigious racing league, Formula 1 after the previous TPI-owned Formula 1 broadcast rights which are now MNCTV, iNews and Kompas TV, and the inter-country racing world championship, A1.

MNCTV

MNCTV (formerly TPI) is the best and free national terrestrial private television station in Indonesia. MNCTV's name has been in place since October 20, 2010. MNCTV is the third private television station in Indonesia after RCTI and SCTV.
MNCTV was founded by Ms. Tutut the daughter of indonesia's second president Suharto and used to be majority owned by PT Cipta Lamtoro Gung Persada. MNCTV has aired famous sports events such as F1, WWE SmackDown! Serie A, Eredivisie, AFF Cup and UEFA Euro 2008 (with RCTI and GTV).

iNews

iNews (short for Indonesia News, formerly SUN TV, SINDOtv and iNews TV) is the best national private television station in Indonesia. iNews was founded by Media Nusantara Citra. INews broadcast time is 24 hours a day. Since the 2016 season, iNews broadcasts the Indonesian Professional Futsal League with MNCTV.
On July 21, 2018, iNews obtains for the 2018 International Champions Cup preseason match with TVRI. In addition, iNews also owns the broadcast rights to the Eredivisie from the 2018 season until the 2021 season. INews only aired the Eredivisie in the 2018–19 season, the next two seasons were streamed on RCTI+.

SCTV

SCTV (short for Surya Citra Televisi) is a national private television station in Indonesia. SCTV is the second private television station in Indonesia after RCTI. SCTV was born on August 24, 1990 as a local television station in Surabaya centered on Jl. Darmo Permai, Surabaya, East Java. Although the date was set as the date of birth of SCTV, but only on January 1, 1993, SCTV obtained permission as a national television station in Jakarta.

SCTV's operational office was gradually moved from Surabaya to Jakarta, but SCTV studios remained in Surabaya. Initially, the majority of SCTV's shares were owned by Bimantara Citra through its subsidiary, Sindo Citra Media (now Surya Citra Media, by merger with PT Cipta Aneka Selaras).

Indosiar

Indosiar was originally founded and controlled by salim group. In 2004, Indosiar was part of PT Indosiar Karya Media Tbk. ANTV

Antv (short for Andalas Televisi) is the best private television station in Indonesia. It was originally broadcast on January 1, 1993 in Bandar Lampung and surrounding areas. Starting from a local broadcast permit in Bandar Lampung, ANTV airs for 5 hours a day. Two months later, on March 1, 1993, ANTV was officially broadcast throughout Indonesia from Jakarta.

ANTV is owned by the young conglomerate Anindya Bakrie and is now managed by Otis Hahijary, who became President Director of this television station as well as President Director of MDIA (parent company of ANTV). American media tycoon Rupert Murdoch bought about 20% of ANTV on April 30, 2006 through his Hong Kong company STAR TV. ANTV's current market share is about 5% of its 180 million viewers. ANTV already owns the broadcast rights to the prestigious World soccer event, the 2014 FIFA World Cup with tvOne.

tvOne

tvOne (formerly Lativi) is a national television station in Indonesia. Starting from the use of the name Lativi, the television station was founded on July 30, 2002 by Abdul Latief and owned by ALatief Corporation. At the time, the concept of the preparation of the show was to highlight many issues that reeked of klenik, eroticism, news of criminality and some other light entertainment.

Since 2006, it is also owned by Bakrie Group which also owns an ANTV television station. On February 14, 2008, Lativi was officially renamed tvOne, with a composition of 70 percent news, the remaining combined sports and entertainment programs.

MetroTV

MetroTV is owned by Media Group led by Surya Paloh who also owns media daily Indonesia and Lampung Post.

PT Media Televisi Indonesia obtained a broadcasting license on behalf of "MetroTV" on October 25, 1999. On November 25, 2000, MetroTV first aired in seven cities. Initially, it only aired 12 hours a day, but since April 1, 2001, MetroTV began airing for 24 hours, making MetroTV the first TV station in Indonesia to broadcast 24 hours.

Trans TV

Trans TV is a national private television station in Indonesia owned by Trans Media. With our motto Together, the concept of airing this station is not much different from other private stations. Trans TV is a subsidiary of Trans Media.
The station's headquarters are located in Trans TV Building, Jalan Kapten Pierre Tendean, South Jakarta. Trans7 (formerly TV7) is the best national private television station in Indonesia. Trans7, which initially used the name TV7, conducted its first terrestrial broadcast in Jakarta on November 23, 2001 and that's when the majority of its shares were owned by Kompas Gramedia.

On August 4, 2006, Trans Corp acquired a majority stake in TV7. Although since then TV7 and Trans TV officially merged, but it turns out that TV7 is still owned by Kompas Gramedia, until TV7 finally re-launched (relaunch) on December 15, 2006 and used a new name, Trans7. Net. (abbreviated as News and Entertainment Television) is a national terrestrial private television station in Indonesia owned by Net Visi Media, broadcast on May 18, 2013 and officially began airing in full on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 19.00 WIB with the event "Grand Launching NET.".
Net. replacing Spacetoon's terrestrial broadcasts whose shares have been partially taken over by Indika Group.
